Q: Does FCHS offer business & marketing classes?
A: YES! Marketing, Advanced Marketing, Marketing Leadership, Introduction to Business, Entrepreneurship, Sports & Entertainment Marketing, Web Design, Computer Applications, Game Design, Accounting, Finance, Business Economics, Business and Personal Law.
Q: What are DECA and FBLA?
A: DECA is An Association of Marketing Students. FBLA is Future Business Leaders of America. Both are student run organizations that prepare emerging business leaders for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality, business law, accounting, and management.
Q: Why do some students wear a blue and silver tassel at graduation?
A: Students with a 3.1 cumulative GPA and a 3.5 in three or more Career and Technical Education classes qualify for National Technical Honor Society (NTHS). This honor society qualifies students for scholarship opportunities and letters of recommendation and additional recognition at graduation.
Q: May I work in the community, and still receive school elective credit?
A: YES. PaCE (Professional and Community Experience) offers students opportunities to gain career related experiences while in high school. You may choose between paid and unpaid experiences. Credits are based on the number of hours you work. If you are interested in working one on one with an elementary student, PaCE Buddies is the course for you!
