11 students represented FCHS at FBLA State April 19 - 21 in Vail. FCHS students took 1st place in Organizational Leadership and 4th place in Management Decision making and will have the opportunity to compete at the national level this summer.
When do the FBLA members meet?
During common lunch on Thursdays in Room M207
We meet the 2nd & 4th Tuesday of the month
When and where are the contests?
The FBLA district contest takes place in February at the Union Colony Civic Center in Greeley. The State FBLA Conference is in April in Vail. Students will also have the opportunity to participate in a Leadership Conference on October 1st in Greeley (Registration deadline September 15 with an additional $25 fee for this event).
What are the actual contests?
A specific list of events is available in the Business Department, or you may select "competitive events" on the FBLA link provided below.
Is there a charge for FBLA?
Yes, Participation in FBLA only is $50. Students can also join both FBLA and DECA for only $80 in combined dues. There are also costs for the State and National Conferences if students qualify. Fundraising opportunities may be available to offset some of the travel costs for state and national qualifiers.
Are there any requirements to participate?
Students must be enrolled in a business, marketing, personal finance, or PaCE course during the 2015-2016 school year.
What are the Fundraisers?
Old Chicago Pizza Palz, King Sooper gift cards, Snack Shack Shifts at Volleyball & Basketball games, Denver Nuggets games,Purple & Gold Dinner and Silent Auction, and others to be determined.
