I started my career in education as an elementary teacher and taught first grade students for 17 years while raising my own three children. I completed a Master’s degree at the University of Northern Colorado in Gifted Education during this time. Working with students and families continues to be a passion of mine. I completed my second Master’s degree at Colorado State University in Counseling several years ago. I have worked as a counselor at the middle school level and now the high school and feel very fortunate to have this broad experience base, and understanding of the developmental stages, both academically and social-emotionally. I love this field and completed my National Certification – NCC and have now completed my LPC – Licensed Professional Counselor hours! In my free time I love to run, bike, hike and spend time outdoors with my family up at our cabin by Crystal Lakes. I look forward to working with the amazing students and families at Fort Collins High School!
