Overview:
  • BA  History (1995)
  • MA Ed. Curriculum & Technology (2002)
  • MSc. Human Geography: Society and Space (2012)

I've been teaching Social Studies at FCHS since 1996. I spent the 2010-2011 school year on sabbatical in the UK earning a Master's degree in human geography at the University of Bristol. In addition to teaching at FCHS I am also an adjunct professor of geography at Front Range Community College, and the Leadership Council chairperson for the Colorado Geographic Alliance.

I recently published a lesson plan about teaching students to read cultural landscapes as text in The Geography Teacher (Vol 14, issue 4), a publication of the National Council for Geographic Education.  I continue to research cultural geographic topics and have presented papers at several national conferences.

I enjoy the great Colorado outdoors, photography, and classic cars. I'm an avid rugby and Bronco fan.
