GT/Honors Academy Sophomore Seminar
I've been teaching Social Studies at FCHS since 1996. I spent the 2010-2011 school year on sabbatical in the UK earning a Master's degree in human geography at the University of Bristol. In addition to teaching at FCHS I am also an adjunct professor of geography at Front Range Community College, and was the Leadership Council chairperson for the former Colorado Geographic Alliance. I am active in the geography education community and will be continuing my previous state alliance work with the newly forming Western Mountain Regional Geographic Alliance sponsored by the National Geographic Society.
I was recently published in The Geography Teacher (Vol 14, issue 4), a publication of the National Council for Geographic Education. I continue to research and write about cultural geographic topics as well as having presented papers at several national conferences.
I enjoy spending time with my husband in the great Colorado outdoors, photography, and classic cars. I'm an avid rugby and Bronco fan.
