Physical Education

A healthy body promotes a healthy mind. At Fort Collins High School, we believe in preparing our students to lead a healthy lifestyle, both mentally and physically. Our aim is to empower all students with the knowledge and skills to sustain regular, lifelong enjoyment of physical activity. Students have a range of activities from which to choose, including weights, dance, team and individual sports.  PE-1 is a prerequisite for other Physical Education courses.  They are required to take three semesters of wellness credit  (15 total credits).

They may fulfill the physical education requirement with the classes of their choice. All students are required to dress out in proper physical education attire and proper athletic shoes to ensure maximum effort and focus throughout the workout.
