Physical Education and Wellness Fort Collins High School

As FCHS Physical and Health Educators, we are committed to delivering high-quality Physical and Health Education that promotes physical health, mental well-being, and a sense of belonging. By fostering the whole child, we aim to create an educational experience that empowers students to thrive in lifelong activity and create pathways in all aspects of life.

Graduation requirements consist of ten wellness credits. Please see course descriptions and options below.

 

Fort Collins High School Physical and Health Education Course Progression, updated January 2025.  Level 1 – Cannot repeat classes. No prerequisites required. Courses offered:  Beginning Dance  Beginning Weights, also called Weights 1  Health and Wellness  Lifetime Physical Education, previously called PE 1  Yoga and Fitness  Level 2 – Courses that follow Level 1. Some require application or pre-approval. Courses offered:  Advanced Weights  Advanced Yoga and Fitness  Adventure Education, requires application  Athletic Strength and Conditioning, requires application  Individual Sports  Integrated Physical Education, requires application  Sports Officiating, requires application  Sports Medicine  Team Sports  Concurrent Enrollment with Front Range Community College.
