Where Excellence is Expected

Where Excellence is Expected

The FCHS Art Department provides students with a wide range of opportunities to develop artistic skills while engaging in creative expression through visual means. Our curriculum allows students to explore the rich cultural history of art, create artwork as a means of personal expression and ultimately expand visual perception skills to develop a greater understanding of the world in which we live.

Our student artists are consistently recognized for their excellence in district art exhibitions, citywide art shows and at the state and national level by the prestigious Scholastics Art & Writing Awards.

Artist of the Year Award 2020-2021 - Zoe Halseide

The Artist of the Year Award is the highest honor given to any visual art student in our school and is granted to the student who has made Visual Art a priority throughout his or her high school career.

For the 2020-2021 school year the FCHS Art Department is recognizing Zoe Halseide for her outstanding accomplishments during the four years she attended FCHS.
