The READ Committee is excited to announce the return of READ Week!

READ Week will run March 27th - 31st and will include an author workshop, a poetry reading (actual poetry reading), reading-focused classroom activities, dress-up days, and loads of school-wide activities, contests, and events in the LTC to promote reading. And the theme is PIRATES! (because . . . pirates!).

Poetry night is Wednesday 3/29/23 (6-8pm), there will be refreshments from Clyddecino’s. Jason Tyler will be our featured author! He will also reach out to his publisher and see if he can get some books as giveaways. He will be talking about his books, his process, writing in general.

Read Week

FCHS is hosting a summer hiring fair for students on Friday, March 31st from 11:45 - 2:00 in the LTC. Over a dozen local employers will be in attendance to interview students looking for a summer job. Some employers will hire as young as 14.

Interview appointments are available from 11:45 - 12:15 and 1:00 - 2:00. Students can also drop in and chat with employers during common lunch (12:15-1:00).

See Mrs. Davidson in Student Services to sign up for an interview slot or help with your resume.
